I work with clients, primarily one-on-one, to design meaningful and authentic careers.
Depending on a client's needs, we move through a 3-step process:
Step 1: What are the components of your ideal career? What skills do you hope to develop? Who do you love to work with - what values must they share? What space, time and financial requirements do you have? What impact would you like to see as a result of your work? I often use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as a foundation for this step.
Step 2: What challenges - emotional, social or material - do you anticipate to your success? What supports do you have in place (or that we can create) to balance these challenges?
Step 3: How can you build your ideal career? What short- and long-term goals might be appropriate? What is your personal brand? How can we enhance your networking efforts? What technology can you use to reach out to potential supporters?
